The Canadian Cartographic Association (CCA) is pleased to announce its 2024 conference and annual general meeting, CCA2024, will take place at the University of Toronto Scarborough on May 23-24.
Early Bird Registration is Open and accommodations via the University and other surrounding options can be found here.
We invite researchers, students, cartographers, archivists, geographic information specialists, and other interested individuals to submit abstracts for in-person presentations, panels, posters, and workshops on the design, production, use of maps of all types, and research concerning all aspects of mapping, broadly defined (see suggested topics list below). We especially encourage participation by post-secondary students.
Topics include (but not limited to): cartographic design, tools and techniques; spatial data collection; emerging or established mapping platforms and processes; applications such as health, politics, demographics, economics, nature, tourism, real-time or other worlds (real and imagined); Indigenous and community mapping; critical and historical cartographies; open source and crowdsourced data and mapping; global positioning and grid systems; geospatial data providers and services; cartographic collections; and, any other aspects of cartography and GIScience.
Presentation formats:
