1:30 pm-4:00 pm Guided tour of Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, QC, including sneak preview of maps in upcoming Hall of History exhibit
5:00pm Icebreaker at on-campus pub Mike’s Place sponsored by CCA

Thursday June 1:

9:00 am Welcome addresses
Morning session: ‘Cartography Past’
Keynote speaker:

Presentation sessions: Historical Mapping and GIS

Afternoon session: “Cartography Present”
Keynote speaker:
Chris Brackley (As the Crow flies cARTography and Canadian Geographic)
Presentation sessions: Cartography and GIS as evolving today

Evening activities
5:30-7:30pm Official Wine and Cheese Reception sponsored by the Department
of Geography and Environmental Studies
7:30pm Group reservation for dinner at local restaurant

Friday June 2:

Note that the June 3rd weekend is Doors Open Ottawa, where lots of museums
and other places are open free to the public
