Cartouche 97, Autumn 2020

Cartouche 97

This years Cartouche includes reports from the CCA annual general meeting, and featured articles provided by various CCA members.

As part of the CCA’s “Mapping From Home” virtual event held in June 2020, both Daniel G. Cole, GIS Coordinator and Chief Cartographer, Smithsonian Institution, and David Malaher, Centre for Rupert’s Land Studies, University of Winnipeg, gave presentations that referred to the mapping of western trade routes by Ochagach/Auchagah, a Cree guide, and others of his nation.

The image on this issue’s cover shows a detail from one of the copies made from Ochagach’s sketch map.
