Registration is now open for the 43rd Canadian Cartographic Association conference, May 30 – June 2nd at the Centre of Geographic Sciences, Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia.

The spring conference is shaping up to be a stacked event with a little bit for everyone. This year we will kick off the event with a technical day starting with guest keynote Kenneth Field from Esri Inc. Ken is an excellent speaker and will get you thinking about how we represent data on our maps. Ken’s colleagues and COGS alumni Edie Punt and Clint Loveman will offer workshops in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS maps for Adobe Creative Cloud.

Dr. Michael Goodchild and Marcel Morin will also provide insightful presentations about their work and involvement with volunteer GIS and cartographic projects. We will have an extensive map display of historic maps, maps produced by local cartographers and poster submission map gallery. Check out our preliminary program for more details.

If you are doing interesting community mapping work, cartography projects or related work, we encourage you to submit an abstract and come share in the form of a presentation. If you have questions drop me a note. [email protected]

We look forward to hosting you this year.
