How to get to the conference

Getting here

Most flights to Prince George connect through Vancouver(Air Canada / Westjet) . It is also possible to fly direct from Calgary (Westjet), Edmonton (Central Mountain Air) and Victoria (Pacific Coastal Airlines). The PG airport is a surprising distance from the City and costs $50 by taxi. The Airporter bus service meets every plane and will drop off at any location in the city for only $15 per person.

Visit the Rockies

If you wish to add vacation time to your conference, the drive from Calgary along the Icefields Parkway between Banff-Jasper is a trip all Canadians should do. The last 400km from Jasper to Prince George takes the Yellowhead Highway through Mt. Robson Provincial Park, past the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Another option might be to add 2-3 days at the end and rent a car to drive to Mt. Robson or Jasper and return to PG. Contact roger.wheate@unbc.ca for travel tips.
