Getting around

Ground Transportation from Pearson International Airport to the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC)

For attendees travelling from Pearson International Airport to the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC), there are the following transportation options:

Airport Limo or Taxi: The fare would typically amount to about $90, inclusive of a tip.

Public Transit: Another option is to utilize the public transit system, which requires a cash fare of $3.25. Online trip planner: https://www.ttc.ca/trip-planner. [Note that this option may take more than two hours to reach the campus]

  • Take Bus 900 from Pearson Airport to Kipling Subway Station
  • Transfer to the subway eastbound to Kennedy Subway Station
  • From Kennedy Subway Station, take any of busses 905, 95, or 38 to reach UTSC. 905 is an express route with fewer stops if you arrive while it is still running – later in the evening, use one of the other routes.

For more information, please visit: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/transportation-and-parking

GO Train: From Pearson Airport, please take the following steps.

  • Board the Union Pearson Express (UP Express) train to Union Station in downtown Toronto. The UP Express directly links the airport and Union Station, and trains run every 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to the Lakeshore East Line—Once you arrive at Union Station, proceed to the GO Transit concourse. Look for signage indicating the platforms for the Lakeshore East Line trains.
  • Board the Lakeshore East Line train heading towards Oshawa. Ensure the train stops at the Guildwood Station, the closest station to the UTSC campus.
  • Disembark at Guildwood GO Station. From there, you can take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or local public transit to reach the UTSC campus.

The cost of travelling from Pearson Airport to UTSC via the UP Express and GO Train would be approximately $16.55 or more, depending on any applicable discounts and fare adjustments.

Note: If you’re using PRESTO, you would need to tap your card upon entry at the fare gates for UPX and again at the fare gates or onboard GO Transit trains or buses. If you’re not using PRESTO, you would need to purchase separate tickets for each service.
