Call for Papers

The Canadian Cartographic Association invites researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and industry partners to submit proposals for presentations at our 2026 annual conference. We welcome contributions that advance the art, science, and practice of cartography, mapping, and geomatics, with an emphasis on work that offers a Canadian perspective.

Students who present papers at the conference will be eligible for $250 prize for the best student paper award. More details here.

The map gallery includes maps and posters of participant’s work with summaries of research, workflows, or classroom projects and provides a great opportunity to showcase Canadian cartographic talent.
  • Maps submitted for the CCA Presidents Prize, and the Carto-Québec Prize will also be displayed in the digital map gallery. Students are encouraged to submit their map entries via the CCA Presidents Prize, and Carto-Québec Prize contest pages instead of this form.

Workshop:

  • Sessions that can engage CCA members and help teach or upgrade their skill sets.
  • Propose a 45–60 minute session (brief outline required).

Select your preferred format during submission; the program committee may suggest an alternative to optimize the schedule.
