The 2024 Canadian Cartographic Association (CCA) was held at the University of Toronto Scarborough on May 23-24.
The CCA would like to welcome members and associates to Toronto, where we will host our premier professional cartography conference. Mapping enthusiasts and geospatial professionals from across the country will gather to explore latest advancements, trends, and innovations shaping the field of cartography.
This years conference promises to provide diverse facets of cartography, from traditional mapmaking techniques to cutting-edge digital technologies. Through a series of presentations led by industry leaders and academics, participants we will explore the evolving role of maps in society, tackling various issues such as spatial data visualization, geospatial analysis, and the democratization of cartographic tools.
With Toronto as our canvas, attendees will have the opportunity to uncover new perspectives, forge connections, and chart the course for the future of cartography on a global scale. The Lost Rivers Walk of Morningside Park, just west of the UT Scarborough campus, is one of Toronto’s sprawling ravine parks which relieve our otherwise unrelenting grid pattern of streets.
Whether you’re a seasoned cartographer, a GIS professional, or simply curious about the power of spatial representation, this event will leave a lasting impression on both your professional journey and personal appreciation for the world of maps.
