Student Residence at Carleton University

Student Housing at Carleton University is available for those looking for an affordable on-campus stay for $93/night. Accommodations begin on May 20, 2025, so if you plan to arrive in Ottawa earlier, you will need to arrange alternate lodging until that date.

Check-in/out

Guests check in after 3 PM at the Residence Reception Desk, located at the end of the 2nd floor of Teraanga Commons.  The Desk is open from 7 AM – 11 PM.  The rooms are located in Frontenac House.

• If you know now that your arrival will be after 11 PM please email [email protected] as soon as possible.  If your travel plans get delayed and it pushes your arrival past 11pm there is a phone number at the Residence check in area to call.
• Those leaving before 7am can slide their room card under the cage at Residence Reception Desk.
• Check out is before 11 AM on departure day. (We will have a coat check area at the conference registration, but that will close at 3pm on Friday).

You can also pre-purchase your breakfasts and dinners at the dining hall.

Cafeteria meals

The cafeteria is located on the 3rd Floor of Terringa Commons, which can be access from the street side of the building.

If you require meals outside of what has been pre-purchased you can purchase them at the cafeteria directly with debit/credit cards. This option is available to all attendees.
