Empowering the Workforce of the Future with IoT and AI – Steve Liang

Keynote Presentation from the CCA event titled “2021 CCA Conference – Connecting the Dots for Multi-Dimensional Mapping” held May 25th, 2021. Here Steve Liang shares his vision for using Internet of Things (IoT = sensor network) data, including geospatial data, and intelligent automation (affordable, accurate enough predictions) to help workers focus on tasks requiring higher-level judgement to improve safety, productivity and decision making.

Mapping in Indigenous Contexts

On October 27th the CCA hosted an online event titled “Mapping in Indigenous Contexts” where we highlighted some contemporary Indigenous cartography, GIS, and remote sensing projects in Canada (Presentation recordings have been linked on this page).

We hope that this will be the first of many short presentation series where cartographers come together to discuss various mapping related topics.
